With the popularization of automatic technology, the site of using the code identifying technology is more popular. For example a kind of automat, identifying code of currency, identifying code of vehicle mark. The cental researchful object of the paper is the identification of currency code. With development and finishment of financial market in our country, the internal commercial bank developed the savings operation of foreign currency, but differentiation of the fake currency and trust currency is the more troublesome problem of finance field. The code of the currency is registered to decrease the toss of the bank before the currency is loched in the casebox of the bank. When the fake currency is found, we have attestation to investigate, and when the currency is lose, this will offer the clue to crack the criminal case.In this paper, code identifying system based on DSP chip TMS320VC5410 was designed, and part of debugging work is finished. The system uses DSP (digital signal processor) , MCU (Microcontrol Unit) and CPLD (Complex Programable Logic Device) as the core of the system hardware, and finish hardware platform of code identifying system.The system uses vedio decode chip SAA7113 of Philips Company to finish transform from analog image to digital image and decompound synchronous signal The system can accomplish exchanging video signal input from camera into digital images and data processing. On communicating, using USB interface to complete data communication with PC.This paper pays more attention to hardware platform design of code idnetifying system. Integral notion of system design is brought out at the beginning of the text. Secondly, detail technical information of module design is narrated in each chapter. At last part of paper, some problems encountered in system debugging and method on resolving these problems are brought out, and some suggestions for system optimization are also provided. This paperprovides some valuable reference for design of image collecting and processing system based on DSP.
