Research On Turbo Coding Technique And Its Application In Mobile Communication

An important breakthrough in the history of channel coding was the discovery of Turbo codes, which leads to zealous researchs on Turbo coding technique in the communication system. This paper is closely focus on Turbo coding technique. Firstly, we introduce the principles of Turbo codes and present the simulation results and performance analysis. Secondly, considering some factors on which performance depends, we give some design criterias of Turbo codes. Finally, in consideration of characteristics of mobile channel, we investigate the combination of Turbo coding technique and space diversity technique, namely, space time Turbo coding(STTuC) technique.
