Since the control network appeared, there have been several primary Industrial control network such as DCS, Fieldbus, Industrial ethernet. With the development of the Industrial control network, Industrial Ethernet become the trend of the Industrial control network because of its the opening , transparent communication protocol.The remote monitor system based on embedded intelligent instrument is an important application field of Industrial Ethernet. If instrument and instrument have the function of TCP/IP protocol , these field devices could communicate to the information network and make it possible to integrate the control network and the information network.So field data could be monitored at anytime and anywhere by the web browser in the workstation.The thesis firstly introduces the research background, the research present situation and the research meaning. Then, author introduces the solution about remote monitor system based on embedded intelligent instrument in details and illustrate the important device-the embedded controller, which is linked to the Ethernet-based control system.It is given details of the controller design using the design theory of embedded system included UML-RT method and platform method. After the system design finished, author illustrates how to implement the hardware and software of the embedded controller. The structure of the embedded controller, the selection of the core chip, the interface module for intelligent instrument, analyse of TCP/IP protocol stack, embedded Web Server, Java Applet client are also given in details.The character of embedded controller as follows:1. Small bulk. It can be embedded into the instrument.2. Low cost. The cost of controller is lower than field instrument without extra expenditrue.3. Embedded controller have good anti-disturbance ability and can be installed on industrial field.4. Multiplicity for input and output. Embedded controller can be implemented via softeware module and hardware module based on the industrial field need.5. Embedded controller is convience for using.lt is not necessary to setup other software on client.Using IE browers is enough for task.Through system test about remote monitor system based on embedded intelligent instrument, it is proved that the embedded controller and field intelligent instrument can collaborate well.
