With the development of embedded operating system and the rapid growth of application domain of GIS, the research on embedded GIS becoming more and more important. This thesis began with the GIS development running on Windows CE , then introduced the algorithms and technique used in the embedded-GIS development process, and designed a applied GIS by using military geographic data.It has been discussed in detail how to use geographic data and these technologies ,such as computer graphics, GIS and visual programming ,to develop a GIS running on Windows CE.net 4.1 .In this thesis, we used hierarchical display technique to hierarchically display map, graph translation technique to translate map, and graphics transformation technique to zoom map. At the same time, we used algorithms related to terrain analysis to realize the terrain analysis (including distance and area calculation, viewshed analysis) based on the grid model of the Digital Elevation Model .On the basis of these algorithms and technique mentioned in this thesis, a GIS has been realized by eMbedded Visual C++4.0 programming. This system is characterized by fast computation , friendly interface and independent functional module. As an embedded GIS platform, it has been theoretically and experimentally verified to have met the needs of practical applications. |
