The intellectualized ODF system in the dissertation is the combination of hardware and software system. It adopts the matured technologies in mechanics, electronics, communication, computer science, GIS and optical fiber measure technologies in optical fiber. It revolutionizes the optical fiber monitoring system and intellectually upgrades the traditional optical fiber allocation system in ODF. It mainly focuses on the development of optical fiber communication and maintenance of the optical fiber line operation resulting from the expansion of network. It also changes from the positive method of maintenance to an automatic, real-time alarming and optical fiber automatic reversion system. Finally the system can supervise the power of local optical fiber cable network and provide information (including geographic information) for the equipment management in local computer center.Through careful analysis of the computer-related technologies, I find out some relatively advanced technologies for the development of information management of intellectualized ODF. Also in this process, I find out some ways to solve some problems in the system. First, to sample, analyze, process, store and communicate data through the automatic operation of Single Chip Micyoco used in the module for supervision of power in the optic fiber. Second, to use Delphi6.0 as a tool in the development of MIS. Third, to adopt C/S, and use Microsoft SQL Sever 2000 as Database Engine. Fourth, to develop GIS through Delphi, which is embedded with MapX by MapInfo Company. In this process, MIS and GIS are seamlessly connected. The dissertation also has a careful analysis of the basic principles in the powersupervision system in optic fiber, development and function of each module, methods in the development of intellectualized ODF information management system. Also it lays stress on: First, the technologies in the realization of serial communication between Delphi and RS-232, with the end to achieve the communication between system and Single Chip Micyoco by TCOMM developed with COM technology. Second, the technologies developed by multi-threading in the system. Third, technologies in integrating GIS and MIS.Finally, the dissertation looks forward to the development of the system.
