With the rapid development of Internet, It is not convenient to obtain information from Internet by the traditional terminal of Internet in the immovable computer. How to obtain Internet information everywhere quickly, easily has become a key problem. Accompanying with the widely application of Embedded technology, the research on the new information terminal of Internet is becoming more and more popular.At present, the embedded product with the soul of embedded system has been one of the important Internet terminals. Embedded system is a special computer system oriented application. It is based on the computer technology. Furthermore, its software and hardware is scalable. It has been widely applied in the situation of strict requirement to function, reliability, cost and power etc.In the thesis, the key technologies of embedded system was researched with the background of the project -" EPG Network TV System". Firstly, the architecture and characteristic of the embedded system is indicated. And also, several key technologies of the embedded system are expatiated on : embedded system interface customization, embedded database, application protocol based on E-I environment and IIC bus communication. Then, the design and implementation of EPG Network TV System was introduced in detail. In the end, the thesis sums up the work done and puts forward the problematic points to be perfected.The EPG Network TV System we developed was exhibited in the exchange conference of advanced science and technology in ShenZhen. It attracts many people and users with its high stability and reliability.
