| As distance education is more and more popular with the rapid development of the Internet, the distance education based on Internet becomes a hot spot of the distance education now. In this thesis, some elementary technology for the realization of the B/S-mode-based distance education system are studied, and especially emphasis how to build a subsystem of computer distance education system - online homework subsystem, using these technologies may enforce quality control and improve the quality of computer distance education.There are six chapters included in this thesis. In the first chapter, concise introduction to the computer distance education system and online homework subsystem are presented. Basic concepts and technology, such as WWW, HTTP, Java, Servlet, Jsp, JDBC and Web database are introduced in the second chapter. System-analysis and design of the subsystem are discussed in the third chapter. In the fourth chapter, will study how to realize the system using several key technologies. How to use the system is introduced in chapter five simply. Finally, it is proposed that a short conclusion and the further improvement should be done to the system in the last chapter.
