J2EE(Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition) is a kind of new architecture on Java Platform designed by Sun Microsystems, which eases the development of multitier distributed enterprise applications It consists of a number of standards such as RMI/IIOP(Remote Method Invocation/Internet Inter-ORB Protocol), JNDI(Java Naming and Directory Interface), JDBC(Java Database Connectivity), JavaMail and JAF(JavaBeans Activation Framework), JMS(Java Message Service), JTA(Java Transaction API), JSP(Java Server Pages) and Servlets, EJB(Enterprise JavaBeans) as well as Java Security Service. Based on Java concept, J2EE renders a type of high-level API independent of realization which implements a separation of application in logic level and system level. A highly secure and scalable n-tier application could be easily developed as long as abiding by the J2EE architecture. As a new kind of Web technology, J2EE fits developing secure, stable and scalable n-tier application very well. The development of applications by J2EE standard aims to get a good command of this new technology and to make valuable attempts for the construction and upgrade of AMMS networking software structure.A thorough discussion on methods and policies of designing developing and implementing Web applications was given through introducing the way how AMMS Apparatus Management System, AMMS Web Mail Application and AMMS Dynamic Web Publishing System - EJB Core Construction were developed. Besides, the paper analyzed and compared different functions of the respective parts of J2EE architecture in these three applications.Parts of J2EE architecture were implemented respectively by the three applications in this paper such as JSP and Servlets, JDBC, JDBC Pooling and JavaBeans in AMMS Apparatus Management System; JavaMail and JAF, JMS in AMMS Web Mail Application; and JNDI, EJB, Java Security Service and so on in AMMS Dynamic Web Publishing System - EJB Core Construction. Finally, models of the three applications were illustrated in this paper.
