RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) system is the extension and development of IC card. It has many advantages, such as contactless non-pollution, efficient recognizing ability and high security of data. The improvement of the IC design and manufacture means it is possible to realize system function on a chip, that is to say SOC design is the main way of chip design. As the function of electronic system is more powerful and the design period is shorter, the technique of IP reusing shows great advantage. In this paper, I first studied basic theories of RFID system, including algorithms of encryption, theory of CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check), I/O techniques of MCU. Then, I designed the reader of RFID system applied to electronic anti-forgery by the way of IP design based on MCU 89C51, co-designing the software and hardware of the reader. Through detailed study on the 2.4GHz radio-frequency module, I bring forward that reader SOC can be made up of RF front-end IP module and back-end IP , which is based on MCU and relative circuit and software. The main work of this paper is focused on the design of the latter IP module. In reader software IP design, the method of CRC was used to ensure the communication reliability between the reader and responder. And the DES Encryption is applied to security communication. Finally I finished the design of circuitries of reader and responder. In conclusion, the IP core of the reader is extendable and has great expansibility. It offers the practical example as the purpose of this paper.
