RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology is an automatic identification technology, it is a way of non-contact radio-frequency two-way data communication, on the target to be identified and access to relevant data. RFID technology is widely used, such as ticketing, identity cards, access control, electronic purse, logistics, etc. It has penetrated into our daily lives and work in many areas, it have brought great convenience to our social activities and production activities. The RFID reader is the key component which the application system operate electronic card to read and write, so the research, design and development of RFID reader is of great significance.The paper will combine innovative subject of laboratory - Development of access control management system. The paper study the theory deeply and application technology which is related to RFID technology; and analyses the reader's basic composition and working principle, ISO/IEC14443 agreement, MF RC500 read chip and Mifare1 card, then the paper gives the high-frequency (working frequency of 13.56MHz) reader hardware and software design.The high-frequency readers of this paper mainly provided the innovative subject of laboratory. The subject demands the communicating distance between HF reader with Mifare1 card with 0 ~ 300mm, but the current read range is generally 0~10mm between HF readers and Mifare1 card. Therefore, the HF readers in this article achieved the basic functions of the premise, focusing on improving the coupling from the antenna performance and additional hardware circuitry to improve recognition ability of middleware to the reader both to optimize the design. Coupled antenna in the basic working principle of in-depth study, based on the detailed design of an improved antenna structure is optimized to achieve the purpose; through analysis of various types of three functional modules which are RF power amplifiers, filter matching circuit and RF circuit, designed to reader circuit middleware which meet the task required. This paper, based on analysising of the process which is working between reader and Mifare1 card, designed on-line test software, and achieved the testing between reader and on-line test software. Experiments show that this design of high-frequency readers achieved the function and performance which is required.
