The designing theory and detailed executing scheme of a new-style and practical intelligent image monitoring network are introduced. The Client/Server structure is applied in this distributed network monitoring system which composed of the Local Server and intelligent image collecting terminal. The Client performs the collecting and pretreating of the data and the Server deals with the data and sends the control information.The designing scheme of this image monitoring network adopt the designing idea of the integration modularize. With the Server as its kernel, the network introduces the photography theory of the digital camera and combines the technologies of high speed single-chip computer (W77E58), FPGA, high speed CMOS image sensor, dot-matrix photo LCD and high speed network transmission. Moreover it overcomes some problems of the digital camera in the image monitoring application such as without the network interface, transmission distance shorter and unable to control the information, and establishes a technology foundation for the further application of the techniques mentioned above in this development.An image collecting forepart offering the network support and the corresponding data processing software are developed. The image collecting forepart has the feature of hardware circuit performance reliable and technics advanced and it adopts the technique of paste and four-layer printed circuit. The supplementary RS422 interface can be connected with other controlling equipment, which provides the convenience for the system to extend and join network. The system can exchange the data rapidly with the Sever through the embedded Ethernet.The system has been applied in the experimental sample, which has met all designing performance requirements with steady working performance on the condition of laboratory, high anti-interference ability and steady image transmission quality and is worthy of being promoted.
