In recent years, with the increasing of air traffic, it doesn't meet the requirement of civil air transport only by importing foreign ATM products any more. It's crucial to developing our own ATM System with independent intellectual property. This thesis is based on the work that I've done when I was an internship in WiseSoft Ltd. From July 2001 to March 2003. This thesis mainly introduces the key technologies including system monitor, di-LAN redundancy and stand-by system of ATM system. This thesis analyses and compares the key technologies mentioned above. And a better scheme is presented, which provides a basic technology support for ATM system.Security and reliability are the important requirements of ATM system which is well applied by system monitor. The system monitor discussed in the thesis is based on SNMPv2 and SMUX peer which can report the system status and device state. At the same time it can handle the system defects and fix it on time to avoid more loss. System monitor also provides other properties such as remote monitor.Di-LAN redundancy guarantees the quality of network communication. In this system two physical independence networks are applied. When one is down, the other is able to substitute the former one. Di-LAN networking module provides a universal and reliable network plat for upper applications and makes the lower mechanism transparent. In this thesis, network communications details will be discussed at length. Network interface information auto-detecting and buffer link chain are applied to guarantee the system efficiency and reliability.The network communication is based on UDP. At the same time a Timeout and retransfer mechanism is applied.Multi-hiberarchy redundancy is applied in many important devices. When the master device is down, the backup device can substitute the master device smoothly, which guarantees system stabilization and succession.The research results presented above have been applied in the Air Force ATM center system MRD-JH. This ATM system has independent intellectual property and makes up the blank of civil ATM products. This system has been authenticated by ATM experts. It will arm a lot of military airports, which will greatly guarantee automatization construct of national defence.
