The safe and economic running in power plant is a field that should be paid more attention to. Image processing technology is used to furnace flame detection in this thesis. The furnace flame detection system can be installed in that unit whose capacity is less than 200MW. The software design is finished , including image processing,temperature field calculating and flame detection,and new methods are put forward to the two latter . The technique on how to get the energy signal from information of flame image and steam flux signal is given, and how to import this energy signal to Mater-Steam Pressure-Loop is analyzed.The furnace flame detection system has wide application foreground. It is a valuable researching direction on combining image processing and combustion control.
