Taking millimeter-wave detector signal acquisition system as the study object in this paper, a design of software and hardware for DSP2407-based signal acquisition system was introduced, as well as the development of upper computer analysis software.The paper first introduced the study background and presented the design scheme including system index, system composition and development environment. It described the design of every module on hardware in detail, such as power circuit, JTAG interface, AD sampling, capture of digital signal, Flash memory operation, CPLD logic circuit, serial communication interface, interrupt handling and explained how to program with software in period sampling, capture interrupt, Flash operation, CPLD design and data compression. Moreover, the paper explained the DSP2407's interrupt system and the way to design interrupt by software.In order to analyze the data from the detector system, the paper has developed an analysis software with features of reading data through serial port, operate Flash memory, draw data plot, display the exact data and debug serial communication, the user interface is friendly and can be used easily. You can find flow chats and correlated code in related modules.At last, the paper showed how to make use of inner RAM to simulation and how to use CCS, VC, QuartusII to debug during the development stage of software. While testing and debugging on a prototype, some project valuable data were achieved, then analyzed, and it proved that the design of system is effective.
