The Design And Implementation Of The Enterprise Information Management System Of Sichuan UNICOM

The Enterprise Information Management (EIM) system discussed in this article is designed and built for China Unicom Sichuan Branch, based on the analyses of enterprise management demands, also followed the rules of business activities. The EIM system, including network and application software system, is a common platform for enterprise information system of Sichuan Unicom. Connecting to the Internet, the EIM network covers all the local branches of Sichuan Unicom. Application software is designed and developed by B/S model, adopted general data access or general XML data documents to realize data exchanging; the application software system consists of three main sections: integrated OA, kinds of professional management systems(such as client service system, billing system), knowledge management and determination support system. By using multidimensional data-view and ETL, the knowledge management and determination support system offer multifarious information service directly to the manager and decision-maker. By means of special design,the EIM system chooses fledged security technology and equipments for the present to ensure the safety of network and network information.
