Research & Implementation Of HFC Network Monitoring System

CATV Technology is developing into digital, multifunctional industrialization .With the synthetic function, network scale extend and network information increasing ,the management problem of Hybrid Fiber Coaxial network is becoming more and more important, all this demand to do more deeply research in management of network and monitoring system.The paper deeply do some research and analysis in HFC network monitoring system based on the practical research of CATV HFC Network Monitoring System.The paper introduces the specialty and component of the HFC network. Then present the main technologies about the HFC network, which include the tow ways transfer technology and the Cable Modem technology. After then give us some knowledge about computer monitoring system.The paper discuss design and fulfillment of the monitoring system in the software, witch including the interface style design, the communication protocol the serial communication program, the monitor thread and the HFC card design.Then analyzes the specialty and the main technology used in the monitoring system. The paper introduces the object-oriented technology and software reused technology in emphasis.At last, combined with development experience of the monitoring system, give some advice to accomplish the system more perfect.
