Remote resource allocation system (RRAS) is a unique aspect of establishing a virtual enterprise union. RRAS is realized in the form of web-based collaboration system. In this thesis, focus is on the theory of establishing RRAS, and a prototype system for web-based collaboration is build. We hope this research can contribute to both the rapid establishment of virtual enterprises and the transformation of manufacturing mode, theoretically and practically.Virtual enterprise modeling is studied, which can be realized through two steps: enterprise resource modeling and enterprise process modeling. Both will lay the foundation of the whole RRAS system.Next a collaboration enterprise searching algorithm based on features and production ability constrains is presented. We provide the classification of features and a two fold matching model. More details about single-enterprise searching and multi-enterprise searching are followed.We also proposed an enterprise evaluation model based on fuzzy multi-objective problem. Four indices, namely, quality (Q), delivery time (T), cost (C), service (S) and five evaluation grades were introduced. A nine grades model is employed to update these four indices automatically. And the triangle fuzzy method was presented to form a fuzzy matrix, which achieves the overall evaluation of collaborative enterprises.Finally, we discuss means of task sending and collaborative enterprise negotiation through Internet. The focus is on the assurance of the task accomplishment by potential partners. Several examples are described briefly to demonstrate the application of the RRAS.
