In order to suit for the changes and the requirements for market . to improve quality.to debase loss of energy,PANGANG Iron and Steel CO. decides to change the"control system of planish wire-roll mill" of wire rod mill, The writer is the architect of this project ! This text describes mainly the basic conditions,control desires of control system and capabilities of production equipment for mechanism and electric , according as fundamental of low cost automation . designs and builds up the control system . On basis of the development of modern control technology and apply of the network technology and locale bus-mastering technology, this text analyzes the essential element for produce of wire-roll mill: principle of assign for speed ; expatiates in detail on the network structure and communication protocol of Ethernet and Profibus-DP ; concretely describes the forms of control system configuration,the function and features of its software and hardware designs ; also , introduces mainly control function of control system,,for example,sequence control,loop control,fly shear control and operation and monitor function etc . and analyzed and settled the problems of control system in debugging and producing .Success in change of high-speed have brought large economic and social benefits ! The succeed example of low cost automation are provided for the decision and popularization and implementation of changes for old equipment in PANGANG corporations. This project was officially started in February, 1999 . accomplished in 2000 ,The aim of renovation of high-speed rolling mill is fulfilled , moreover ,the production in the same month was reached. This project was judged and approved by PANGANG Iron and Steel CO. in April of 2000 .
