Internet-based Manufacturing can greatly improve the efficiency of collaboration between enterprises and exploit more of the resource for legitimate use, so it is very valuable for both the improvement of new product development and reduction of production cost. Internet-based Manufacturing is a new method of collaborating machining and producing products between enterprises based on Internet. This dissertation mainly introduces the key technology and innovation research, which mainly consists of system architecture, ontology of manufacturing system, acquisition of manufacturing resource, and manufacturing service matchmaking.At first, we briefly summarize the background and connotation of the Internet-based Manufacturing system. From the viewpoint of collaboration process between enterprises, we analyze the deficiency within the manufacturing resource representation and retrieval, then a Semantic Web based solution is given, furthermore we present a new collaboration pattern, which is based on Web Service.Secondly, the architecture of system is discussed. We present the final target of our system, after analyzing several semantic-based retrieval projects, and we bring forward the system hierarchy model, which clarify the internal logical layer, from data t semantic, then to knowledge and service. On the basis of it, the function model is given, and then J2EE is selected as the development platform for the construction of system.In the next part, we present an internet-based manufacturing oriented ontology architecture, which supports the semantic and reasoning for the system. Based on concept entity, concept attribute and relation between the concepts, we organize the ontology by concept subsumption, attribute association, mutual constraint and axiom definition, using DAML+OIL as the modeling language. Then we present a manufacturing service ontology, which complements the capability and semantic information for the service. After decomposing the semantic structure of meta-service and simple composite service, we present an internet-based manufacturing service oriented ontology architecture, which includes manufacturing service, enterprise information, manufacturing task, restricted objects, manufacturing method and manufacturing objects. Marking the web service description by internet-based manufacturing ontology, it make the semantic meaning of service description clearly.Finally, we discuss the matchmaking of manufacturing service. After discussion of the strong and weak match method, we implement the measurement of semantic analogy for the match, and then a more intelligent match method is given using decomposition model. For the multi manufacturing service matchmaking results, we present a comprehensive evaluation model.
