Service Matchmaking stands for customers finds the suitable service with all kinds of methods from different type's service. Some researchers has imported service matchmaking mechanism based on semantic, as there are some disadvantages including low-recall and low-precise when using key word matchmaking algorithm. But there also have some problems in the semantic matchmaking mechanism, to solve the above problems; the paper does work on the key technologies including semantic description model, semantic web language and the matchmaking algorithm. The paper imports the Semantic Web technology to the service matchmaking, and designs and Semantic Web-based service matchmaking model based on UDDI, and does more details in the core sub-model, named Matchmaker. And then pay more attention to the key technologies, including the establishment of vehicle domain ontology, re-design of the semantic description model, the extending of the OWL-S to describe the Qos, named OWL-S* and the improvement of the semantic matchmaking algorithm, which is the core part of the paper. The improved algorithm absorbs the advantages of the algorithms based on geometry distance and information content, considering the problem roundly. At the last, a test matchmaking system has been proposed, and the test results have been given. And the algorithm proposed in the paper has been proved working well through the analysis of the test results.Under the idea of the service function matching, the model proposed in the paper, based on Semantic Web technology, overcomes the disadvantage in UDDI based on key words matching and the problem in other semantic matching algorithms that is the illegibility of the same rank concepts. The paper explores the field of the Web service semantic matchmaking, and the research is valuable in the E-commerce and Web service application.
