Web Service technology is the newest development of web technology. It can wrap any service on the net , make them connect and communicate without boundary. Now, Web Service technology is widely used to integrate and conglutinate various soft components which are running on different operating systems and written by different programming languages. However, many problems, including the dis-match of information's format, the multiplicities of information's relationship, prevent Web Services from communicating more automatically and intelligently with each other. We construct a ontology about the travel domain in this thesis. Some concepts in that ontology are used to annotate the semantic of Web Service. Based on the semantic information about Web Service's Inputs and Outputs, the problem of finding the fittest Web Service (from the user's view) is transformed to the calculation of the semantic distance between two concepts which are both in the domain ontology. Given the Web Service requester's demand and the different property those concepts possess, variant algorithms are applied to calculating process. A simulated experiment is executed and the results demonstrate the enhancement to accuracy and recall.During the domain-ontology-based Web Service discovey, the Web Service's descriptive file must be annotated manually. As this process is error-prone and the standard of how to describe Web Service's Semantic is not yet formed, we adopt another solution. We exteact the semantic information and construct a Service Text Model from the de facto Web Service's description specification------WSDL. Based on that Model, we apply fuzzy semantic method to the Web Service discovery process by the aid of WordNet. Some running Web Service's WSDL files are downloaded from the net and are used to test the method. The experiment results illustrate that this method has brought remarkable improvement in the accuracy.
