The research and application on DCS-Based elevating system of elevating platform is a subproject of which is one of the Liaoning province great scientific subjects. This artical is written by means of the practical research of the subproject.In this paper the method of the design and fracture of a kind of DCS is elaborated. By means of the practical research on the scene of the development of DCS, on basis of defined own network protocol,the communication interface between high-level and low-level computers is made. In this paper, detail description about serial communication between computer and FP-1 C56 PLC by VB6.0 and VC++6.0 in Windows environment; presents method of developing the serial communication program for Windows with communication control MSComm of Visual Basic 6.0 ; describes the communication protocol and monitor architecture in the DCS system, illustrations monitor architecture in operation station and process control station. UNICOM. OCX control is developed. That breaks the limitation which Microsoft Visual Basic' s MSComm control is only used ASCII in the series data transmissions and improves the efficiency of data transmissions.The self elevating offshore platform system can work automatically adoping control rule which can be adjusted by itself. In a sense, the stable charater have been improved in the system. Because of the limitation of the experimental conditions, execution mechanism of the system can not be reached to the perfection.
