Because this, the article describes from two parts, the first part Carry on the forehead data obtain, it is the foundation to carry on fault diagnoses. This part particularly probes into the hardware circuit and software of forehead data acquirement, adopting DSP(Digital Signal Processor) and USB(Universal Serial Bus) on the system makes the system have very fast operation speed, easily schlepped, all this bore down to abundant resource and operation speed of DSP. The second part carries on fault diagnose, in this part we can finish the artificial or intelligent diagnosis with support of hydropower units database and knowledgebase. This article has clarify the system's main content and total frame, emphasizes on the construction of management system and knowledgebase that is the core of expert system. Based on the contrast with other method, the way "Frame + Rule" is choused to store the knowledge. Directing against the characteristic, put forward positive and negative to the tactics of mixing reasoning. At last adopting the thought of the soft project, the modularized and open system of hydraulic turbine group is realized by Delphi 6, which is an object-oriented language.
