The Virtual Reality technology is a technology that produces a highly vivid simulation environment by using computer to make user immense into the virtual environment by some kinds of sensor interfaces and accomplish interaction between user and environment. With the rapid development of the Virtual Reality technology and the imagine manipulation capacity of the computer it has become possible to apply the Virtual Reality technology into manufacturing fields. There have already been many successful examples of application about that at home or abroad.This article applies the Virtual Reality technology into designing the beverage-packaging production line, which truly reflects actual conditions in the production line such as the operation of every host machine, the motion of the material flow, the deployment of personnel and so on, and recur the workshop locale, consequently provide a convenient and quick platform and a direct and vivid way to technical intercommunion that can provide technical and economical analyses to technical emendation for enterprises and clients as well as solve some actual problems in the product line. This method put forwards a new way to design the traditional beverage-packaging production line.Combining the project of Guangdong Light Industry Mechanics Group "the three-dimensional dynamic visual simulative system of the beverage-packaging production line" and the project of Guangdong Science and Technology Bureau "the research of the key technology of three-dimensional dynamic deployment about product line devices in virtual environment", this dissertation investigates the following contents through developing an example of the visual beverage-packaging production line based on PC by using MFC and WTK(World Tool Kit)with visual C++.1.On the basis of analyzing the traditional beverage-packaging production line, point out some shortcoming in it, put forward the basic task of designing the virtual beverage-packaging production line, and establish the design rule and design frame of virtual manufacturing production line.2.Design and calculate the basic parameters of the filling machine, and point outthe factors affecting the throughput of the beverage-packaging production line.3. Class the objects in beverage-packaging production line by using object-orientated idea, put forward the Object Action Control Theory in virtual environment, and apply it into the design of the virtual production line.4. Research various kinds of modeling ways in virtual reality, analyze the characters of every kind of modeling way with the developing toolkit WTK in virtual environment, and make a modeling and simulation about the filler and washer in the production line.5. Research the composing rule of virtual path, design a virtual walkthrough system to browse the host machine in virtual environment; put forward the idea to manage the devices in beverage-packaging production line and can let designers understand explicitly the devices condition in production line.Finally, this dissertation sum up the work and experience in system development and offer the reference for following development works.
