Study On The Application Of The Layout Method Of New Production Line Based On The Virtual Reality Technology

Virtual reality technology is a new brand kind of comprehensive information technology rising at the end of the 20th century. It is an artificial environment of three-dimensional information consisting of computer hardware, software and various sensors. Customers could interact and influence each other by applying this kind of environment. Virtual reality technology combines digital image processing,computer graphics, multimedia technology, sensor technology, and other information technology branch, thus greatly promoting the development of computer technology. At present, virtual reality technology has widely been used in construction, education and training, medical,military simulation, financial and scientific visualization, and other aspects,it is gradually becoming the widely application new technology in the 21st century. Being as an important part of Manufacturing System Design,the production line design is closely related with the production line equipment utilization rate, the production cycle time, and the efficiency of the production line. The traditional production line has been over designed to rely on the experiences and the manual calculations; It more or less lacks the scientificalness.By using the concept of the key technology of the virtual manufacturing-virtual reality technology-running through the whole article, this essay will put forward an integration framework concept of the virtual design of the production line system, list out the main design elements under the guidance of this framework accordingly. Finally, this essay will demonstrate a concrete example of the production line virtual 3-D animation design.This essay will mainly expatiate on the importance and the broad application area of the virtual reality technology in the manufacturing industry by studying how a new production line of Modeling simulation could set up as soon as possible and achieve the expected objectives on the basis of the virtual reality technology. This article focuses on the production line planning and design study analysis. At the same time comparing with Foxconn's existing simulation software Flexsim to illustrate how virtual reality technology could be used in the new production line for planning and design, thus further improving the comprehensive efficiency of equipments.
