The work presented in this paper is one of the primary parts of the project--driving trainingsimulator system. The thesis analyzes present condition of related researches and development on driving simulator, and aims to developing a low cost simulator system for driving training that can be practical to expand. Related techniques and developing tools now used in visual scene system are analyzed, and the main part of driving training simulator software to control visual scene system is researched and realized.The software of system is programmed by means of OOP (Object-Oriented Program) methods and environment. Multithread technology, time handling and responding mechanism of operating system are used to establish the software framework, which based on time driving. The program has proved to be steady and credibility. In the disposal of view scene, DirectX graphic interface and Direct3D retained mode are used to support the render engine of visual scene system, and multi-view-port displaying disposal is used to simulate three view ports of the car in the virtual scene, which enhance the verisimilitude in the visual simulation. A simplified motion simulation method is introduced, by which the system can not only guarantee the real time simulation of visual scene control, but also satisfy the require of motion verisimilitude in elementary driving training. In the design of program framework, the control and management of driver's manipulation are considered and simply realized. By these means, the validity of the driving training is improved. Based on database technology, many kinds of operating and driving information obtained from the system running are stored, and they are used in the management and valuation of driving training.
