Along with the increasing speed and cyberization of the railway transportation,China Train Control System(CTCS) has become an important direction which the Chinese railway control develops.Setting up a simulation platform of train operation control,together with 3D scene technology to simulate the train running environment has become important research contents of present railway domain,which would be used to test running control system,train the driver.The paper is supported by the project—train control simulation system based on CTCS level 2,of Traffic Information Engineering and Control Lab in Southwest Jiaotong University,has finished 3D train scene simulation development and realized the real-time scene simulation of train running.The main contents of the research are as follows:Firstly,the use skills and modeling skills of Creator visual simulation modeling technology are grasped,combining with the character of railway line the paper uses the method of divided distinct to set up the models of the railway line,natural human landscapes and terrain.Also the technologies of optimizing modeling and optimizing models rendered are used to satisfy real-time demonstrated demand of models.Secondly,large scale scene management technology of Vega real-time 3D scene simulation technology is applied,according to the large scale of the train running scene,the virtual scene is generated with the method of the dynamic loading,which solves the balancing problem between the graphics hardware processing power and larger scale of loading data,convenient for scheduling and loading of larger scene.Thirdly,Vega API functions are used on VC platform to realize the operations of attributes belonging to model objects and implement the real-time interactive control,such as the train running,the signal lamp changed etc.Fourthly,the distributive software structure is used,so the train control simulation platform and scene display end are relatively independent,easy to maintain and extensible.Simultaneously,multi-channel display is realized. Synthetically applying the technologies of 3D scene modeling,the optimizing models and the scene dynamic interactive,the research and exploitation of train scene simulation system based on CTCS level 2 is implemented.The simulation result indicates that the train running scene can be demonstrated in real-time and have better level of vividness and the stereo effect.
