The driving simulator of vehicles for training is a system which can simulate the vehicles' actual conditions where they are running and the conditions of roads. It can be used to train drivers, test driving skills and carry on the education about traffic safety. It has the advantages of saving the energy, being safe, economical and efficient. Besides, its training is free from the limitation of time, climate and locations as well as the training cycle is short. So it has broad prospects of application. Therefore, developing the driving simulator of vehicles for training and improving the fidelity of the system of visual scene simulation have very significant meanings.The system of visual scene simulation,which is mainly used to produce dynamic scenes in virtual situations where vehicles are running and do visual simulation of drivers, is the important part of the driving simulator of vehicles. Its real-time interactivity, real senses of immersion and the driving senses are its key performance indicators.According to the actual conditions and demands, I built a developing environment of the visual scene system of the vehicles driving simulator. By using the interactive 3D tool for modeling-MultiGen Creator, I built a real, realistic 3-D scene, on the base of which I analysed many problems of modeling in 3D scenes and gave the solutions as well as hierarchical structures of the database of scenes. By using the techniques of structural adjustment,textural mapping, level of detail and so on, I optimized the scenes,realising the transformation from FLT to FST in order to meet the demands of real-time plans.Besides,I introduced Vega and its flow of exaggeration simply and carried on the establishment of visualization of the parameter-Vega in LynX. With MFC based on single documents of Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 I realized the actuation of visual scenes by unifying LynX of Vega and the API function. Besides,by Controlling the movement of running vehicles with the keys in the keyboard, I carried on the simulation of the kinematics, realizing the models of vehicles with the characteristics of movement, which can test the vibration of vehicles ,side-lurch and dynamic collisions when the vehicles are in the conditions of advance, backlash, acceleration, brake, changes of directions and traveling in the bad roads, meeting the demands of training new drivers with the driving simulator of vehicles preliminarily. Also I realized automatic vehicles'running according to the routes having been planned in advance and the tests of collisions. At last I realized the controls of multichannels when vehicles are traveling and real-time displays of measuring appliances such as monitors, speed , accelerators and so on,the scenes where vehicles are running according to the routes having been planned in advance , the engines, the noises of the environment and the flowing clouds of the sky.
