The portable instrument which is specified for recording and replaying low frequency waveforms consists of a microcontroller 8051 and a voice synthesizer T6668. The memorizer which consists of SRAM 62256s allows addressing up to 128K bytes. With this instrument, transient waveforms can be shown by normal analog oscillograph stably. Not only the instrument's hardware and software but also the performance testing and the application testing is described in this paper.
