Open-Laboratory Network Multimedia Management Information System

Information Age and the booming network communication technology have created opportunities for the improvement of the management and service level and offered good conditions for the building of digital campus as well. In order to improve the management and service level,raise working efficiency,speed up the construction of the digital campus and introduce the construction and management of university laboratories both nationally and internationally,it is necessary to develop the laboratory management information system (MIS).Based on the research and analysis of the management mode and characteristic of open-laboratory,the paper develops the open-laboratory MIS based on Client/Server mode by using object-oriented technique and modularizing design method. The system focuses on the management of the lab devices,including the arrangement of the lab courses. Its frame consists of the management of the devices' adding,maintaining,disusing. It also deals with the information relating to the arrangement of lab courses,the reengagement information of the students' lab courses and the record of the students' lab course,etc. This MIS system can improve the working quality and efficiency and will enlarge the service range and accomplish co-sharing of the resource. The system is practical and worthy of popularizing.Considering the data security and stability,the foreground of the system C/S mode is developed by Delphi 6.0,the background is by Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database system. The B/S mode is the combination of ASP and ADO.
