With the rapid development of network information technology, network virtuallaboratory is playing an increasingly important role in modern education and teaching.It presence has saved a large amount of educational funds, made the lab resources befully used and provided the experimenters with more spacious experimentalenvironment and more flexible experimental time. It is a development direction ofexperiment teaching and one of the hot topics for the current study. This article studiesand develops network-based virtual laboratory system on the basis of analyzing thevirtual laboratory research status abroad and at home and designs various types of testsaiming at the control engineering theory.Firstly, this article has analyzed and compared the architecture of network virtuallaboratory, determined to use B/S-based architecture to establish the network virtuallaboratory according to specific conditions, designed the general framework of stafflogin management system and elaborated functions of various modules in detail.Secondly, it has reviewed the relevant knowledge of the classic control theory,analyzed and elaborated subspace system identification algorithm and state-space modelprediction control algorithm; it has developed virtual instrument system of the controlengineering based on LabVIEW according to the mentioned control theory, andtime-domain analysis, frequency domain analysis and stability analysis of the controlsystem and the correction of the control system have verified the related theories ofclassic control. Modeling and simulation of the dynamical system is an experimentconducting mathematical modeling and simulation by using the commonsingle-capacity tank in industry; quality-spring-damping system experiment is the onethat connecting correction and control of PID with actual system; quadruple tank systemexperiment obtains systematical mathematical modeling by introducingmultiple-input-multiple-output subspace system identification algorithm and applies themodel to the state-space model predication control to achieve an effective control of thequadruple tank system. Network-designed virtual laboratory system designed andresearched in this article has excellent expandability and can design and add newexperiment according to actual conditions during future use to meet the actual needs.Lastly, it has summarized the researches and designs of the subject and providedadvices on the further study.
