Research On Real-Time Response In Computer Supported Cooperative Design

Following the rapid development of manufacturing,agile manufacturing and global manufacturing have led the trend. Traditional individual oriented CAD system would not supported the cooperative design,so it is necessary to do some enhancements on it.The CSRCD (computer supported real-time cooperative design) system is an important component of the CSCD (computer supported cooperative design) system,which mainly supports concurrent work of multi-designers,intercourse in time,harmonizing the progress of work,discovering the contradictions and conflicts in work,to prevent,avoid or reduce the repeat modifies during the design. Supported by the 863 projects of "2001AA411320 regional modern integrated manufacture system development and application oriented city of Chengdu,Deyang and Mianyang" and the science and technology key project of Sichuan Province "the engineering configuration intelligent CAD technology oriented the process of design",this paper chiefly focus on the following:1. According to "Framework of Cooperative Design System" proposed by the Center of CAD Eng. Southwest Jiaotong University,the exiting range of the real-time response and the exiting forms of the real-time information are analyzed in design.2. On the basis of analyzing the deficiency of the current methods in designing the real-time module,the method of developing according the improved application sharing is put forward to enhance traditional application of CAD. And the necessary,feasibility and common structure of dynamic data exchange format are expatiated,which is used to manage the exchange of geometry data.3. Cooperative awareness is the basis for cooperative work of users and the essential means of real-time cooperative design. Establishing the associate among the designing nodes having cooperative awareness relationship is its precondition. On the basis ofanalyzing the arrangement in design work and in task plot of cooperative design task,an engineering database system named S_DBS is adopted,which characterized with hierarchy and fitted to cooperative design task assignment. In this paper,two kinds of associates are established among the designing nodes,and realized with data structure on the base of S_CAD,which are the inherent relationship and the "semantic relationship". With nodes of cooperative awareness,the interaction of cooperative awareness information is necessary. The 3-layer structure is presented to analyze the category of cooperative awareness in real-time cooperative design,and the workspace awareness is research stressfully. Finally,the framework of cooperative awareness is designed and implemented.4. Finally,an example is expressed for AutoCAD R2000,which applied all theoretic analyses and results. According developing the software agent,AutoCAD R2000 is enhanced to support cooperative awareness.
