Research And Implementation Of Collaborative Design Technology

With the deepening of society's development and communication, people demand computer not only to solve traditional calculating problems but also to help multiple users cooperate each other. As an edging searching domain, computer supported real time cooperative editing technology has been reflected human's need shift to computer's function. Real-time collaborative editing systems are a class of Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) systems. In these systems, users can view and edit the same document from geographically distributed sites connected by Network. Compared to single user editing system, it can be shortening the time, reducing the cost, and improving the quality.In this paper, the present research state in the world of the Collaborative Design is summarized. The structure of the Collaborative Design is put forward. The theory of the synchronal application sharing, architecture, concurrency control scheme, multi-version, locking, the technique of instant communication, the technique of whiteboard and the technique of the management of the Collaborative Design are inquired. Facing some problem which exist in the current research, some preferable solutions are put forward.On the base of above studies, DDE system which is adopting C/S model and the composite application sharing is developed. This system can provide application program sharing, information communication, file transmitting and a safe network collaborative design environment for designers.
