The Application Of Mobile Agent In Network Management

This thesis is discussed Architecture of Network Management System(NMS) with Mobile Agent Technology. In this thesis ,author reciews evolutive history of network Manange,and compares diverse network management solution,and introduces implementation technology and production of NMS in different period .Further more,Author prospects trend of network management technology facing distributed and Heterogeneous network environment.The thesis investigates support technology of mobile agent,implement mechanism,and existing specification.This paper also tracks research and development of mobile agent technology hi the world.After author synthesize newest network and software technology ,author presentes an architecture of network management system based on mobile agent technology,it suit heterogeneous network environment,its character distribution,flexibility,intelligence,high efectiveness ,and so on.Its basic theory is that network management workstation start a lightweight webserver , network management administrator download http web paper which have Java applet by web brower,applet use local arb/rmi or that which is downloaded to communicate with mobile agent,and user choose to control correspond mobile agent to accomplish the work of network management and mobile agent auto-move to the near network equipment to manage the network.Moreover this thesis compares network management solution based on mobile agents with other solution about the challenges facing manager of heterogeneous networks .This solution has hereinafter advatages: adapt complex network entironment;move security ;have chorology management;can implement operate with each other in different network managersystem. Author introduces precept about mobile agent migration mechanism based on production rule,too. So this solution is sure to be the direction of the netowork managemet development.
