With the development of science and techonlogy, the level of automation improves continually, and human labor is being replaced by intelligent machine. Intelligent video survey is taking the place of human local survey. In recent years, video technology has developed rapidly, and been widely used in industry, national defense, commerce, traffic, finance, office automation and home security. Full sphere, automatic object tracking intelligence dome camera is a kind of important basic device in video survey system. With the support of Zhejiang Nanwang Multimedia Co.Ltd, the writer triumphantly investigated it, and researched the key technologies and theories. These researches are essential either in theory or engineer.In chapter one, roundly discussed dome camera and moving detection and motion tracking, and described the system of video survey in brief, analyzed the reason of the invention of dome camera and the advantages of it. Finally the control of step motor and motion tracking in real time is discussed which are very important for full sphere, automatic object tracking intelligence dome camera.In chapter two, described the whole design process of dome camera, and researched the control of step motor for improving its' stability and precision, analyzed the reason of step motor vibration and brought forward the control arithmetic and realization method after research the system model of step motor. The experiment result is ideal. At last the writer researched the starting and stopping of step motor.In chapter three, firstly brought forward moving object detection method thatbased on image subtraction taking the advantages of image transform and template matching after discussed usual arithmetic of moving object detection and tracking.In chapter four, discussed the arithmetic and realization of edge detection based on wavelet transform. The writer analyzed Mallat three criteria and introduced the optimized function based on these three criteria, at last found optimized mother wavelet for edge detection. At the end of this chapter single edge searching method based on local maximum is introduced and gained ideal edge image.In chapter five, gained proper matching template taking advantage of edge image and mapped two sequential images basing on image transform and template matching and found moving objects. In the course of moving object tracking introduced the suppose that the speed of moving object is stable in short time, and introduced the method that determining the tracking speed, gained nice control result.In chapter six, summarized the total article and introduced some theories that need more researching, and forecasted the trends of dome camera in order to direct the next research.
