A Study Of The Technology Of Moving Target Detection And Tracking In Video Image Processing

Moving target detection and tracking is a rising technology which processes the video data mainly, and has gotten much more attention from the researchers of this study field. The basic purpose of it is the realization of detection and tracking the moving objects in video sequence. In view of solving the problems in practice, the thesis got a detailed and in-depth analysis of the technology via exploring and studying the technical methods on it. As a whole, the thesis divides the technique into three functional parts, which include video preprocessing, motion detection and object tracking, and researched the technical methods respectively. The major works implemented and the goals achieved are listed as follows:1. Basing on the characteristics of video data, especially the video data acquired by motive camera, frame-to-frame image registration and video image sequence mosaicking constituted the part of video preprocessing. And two resolving approaches were given on video image feature matching which is the key technique of the two.2. Taking a whole analysis on the part of motion detection as the foundation, the thesis researched the technique under static background and moving background separately. And as the main content of this part, motion detection under moving background was solved by two different motion segmentation methods based on clustering, and preferable detection results was gotten.3. Considering that the matter of object tracking process is locating the object in image by means of modeling the object according to object's feature property and choosing appropriate tracking method, the thesis illuminated the matter through analyzing three object tracking methods that concentrated on different feature properties.4. After summarizing all the methods presented, the thesis constructed a flexible and transplantable modularization model framework on moving target detection and tracking, and used the model to integrate all the related technical methods efficiently.
