The Chinese network platform is a national "95" emphasis project. As a Chinese information processing system, the Chinese application for Internet-oriented of center with Java is first presented. It supports network users for Chinese application through Internet with the features of independent to hardware and operation systems.In this paper, the customization of Applet security strategy is realized based on the security architecture of Java2, which provides the possibility for introducing the proxy and load balancing. This paper deals with some key problems in proxy and load balancing system and puts forward a model of proxy and load balancing which adapts to the Chinese network platform. In the structure of proxy, a threads pool of double queues structure and an assistant threads pool of chain table structure are developed. The respondence is improved by reusing threads in threads pool. Furthermore, a word figure buffer in proxy is constructed according the data format used by Chinese network platform, which provides fast and convenient Chinese support for users in LAN. An analysis of queuing model in proxy is made and the statistic data of its performance is given. In the side of word server and input method server, the scalability and fault tolerance of server cluster are achieved with load balancing based on inverse proxy mechanism. Finally, an algorithm combined with the number of connections and the ability of processing is presented and its performance test is also made.
