Computer Aided Management System Of Gas Stations

The gas stations need computer aided management system to control operations and to manage whole business. We have set up the data-base automatic management system based on SYBASE Client/Server data-base, and build the communication network which connects the computer and several fuel machines on serial communication interfaces.We use Delphi 5.0 to develop the database system which is running on the Windows NT operation system and show characteristics of excellent interface, convenient operation, as well as plenty of figures. The system has accomplished all sorts of business, such as buying, stocking, and selling, and realized the function to send data to management center.The communication between computer and fuel machine is an important part of the management system, and is the key of this thesis during developing the system. Because the gas station has many fuel machines and the computer exchanges frequently data with fuel machines, we must design a communication controller made up of MCS-51 microprocessor to manage the communication of the network, and to complete distributing instructions of computer and gathering data of fuel machines. The system makes use of serial communication. The communication controller connects the standard RS232 serial port of computer to the serial port of fuel machines. Since fuel machines are far away from the computer, we introduce 20mA electric current circle. In order to supervise the volume of oil tank, we have employed the tank monitoring system in our management system. The tank monitor-ing system the volume of oil by serial port connected with the communication controller.
