Special task can be performed by aerospace telecontrol and telemetry system according to special demand from different targets for parameters and work modes. Traditional method is to design all-inclusive software and hardware modules so the system is enormous and difficult to extend and improve. However, the design method based on Software Radio can overcome this shortcoming and is becoming the researching hotspot. Its software design method specially adapts to the circumstance discussed in this paper.Firstly, this paper discusses briefly the basic concept of the software radio, system structure and foundation of hardware. Then, the paper introduces the math module and achieving method of software modulation and demodulation of common digital modulating signals used in telecontrol & telemetry system. In view of project practice, alterable digital modulation in telecontrol system has been achieved with the help of chip FPGA by means of Software Radio. It is also compared with the hardware method. Finally, in allusion to the BPSK signal commonly used in telemetry system, a practicable demodulation method suitable for software achievement is presented and simulated.
