Design On DTD And Building Of Lts XML Document For Articles Of Science And Technology

This paper firstly introduces the Extensible Markup Language(XML), points out the importance and necessity of building XML document for articles of science and technology, and proposes a scheme to transfer these articles from HTIvIL format to XML format. It elaborates on the designing of a self-contained Document Type Defmition(DTD), which provides a semantic frame for scientific and technological articles. On this basis, we illustrate the designing and implementation of a HTML parser, which use the above-mentioned DTD as a template, transfer a HTML-formatted scientific and technological article to a valid XML document, thus we partly reach the goal of semantic markup of scientific and technological articles. Due to the domination of Chinese Information, we now mainly focus on how to use the Chinese Information Processing(CIP) method to semantically markup Chinese articles of science and technology.
