This paper presents the architecture and the implementing method of the distributed monitoring system for electric power microwave network. The main function of this system is to real-time monitor the running state and the peripheral setting of electric power microwave network. So it reached the expectant goals, such as ensuring the safety in operation, enhancing the operational maintenance efficiency, reducing the establishment of staff and coming true the scientific management, and so on.The paper discusses and researches some detailed issues about the distributed monitoring system for the electrical enterprise microwave network. The main research contents and results in this paper are as follows:1. Presenting a general scheme to implement the distributed monitoring system for electric power microwave network, including the software and hardware development of Central Monitoring Station (CMS) as well as the framework and scheme design of Local Monitoring Station (LMS) and Data Acquisition Unit (DAU).2. Adopting object-oriented method and multithreading technique in the development of CMS system. It is characteristic of real-time processing, which realizes high safe reliability, good and expandability and friendly man-machine interface.3. Implementing the serial communication between the CMS and LMS. Puttingforward two rules for software flow control and data transmission, as well as implementing the relevant design for command frame, return frame and data frame of them.4. Putting forward a data compression means, which reducing data transfer volume and adding data transfer efficiency. Resolving the data transfer buffer problem by adopting the sending or receiving round-robin queue technique.5. Developing a multimedia alarm system based on sound and animation for CMS system.6. Presenting an authorization-based encryption algorithm, which using two encryption parameters, a public secret key and a private secret key, and converting user password into PC to save in database by exclusive-OR logical operation.
