Research On Data Management System For Vehicle Navigation System

Vehicle Navigation System has its extensive application prospect in the ATIS(Advanced Travel Information System) which is a component part of ITS(Intelligent Transportation System). On the basis of the digital map of road net which is constructed by using GIS(Geographic Information System) technology, Vehicle Navigation System conducts vehicle location, route planning as well as route guidance in good time. This paper comes up with a recommendatory storing scheme of the spatial data and attributive data of the above mentioned road net digital map. This paper also analyses the structure and function of the Data Management System for Vehicle Navigation System, and carries out corresponding Database System Design and Geographic Information System Design. In addition, this paper studies the standardization system of the Data Management System for Vehicle Navigation System.
