DNC technique is an effective way to realize manufacwWi automation for workshop or workshop section. This paper presents the UCtLLII state and development trend in the manufacture and manufacturing automation. the status and function of the DNC technique, the basic theories about the basal structure of the DNC system, the system control and management, the net\ oik structure, etc. The internal and international technology actualities of the DN( system, its applied condition and development trend are also involved. Based on research and analysis of the DNC technology, proceeding frowi the manufacturing actual condition of 708 workshop, through analyzing of tic signals from the machines, this paper proposes a DNC practical implemcnt scheme which is suitable for variant numerical control machines. By maki I use of singlechip technique, this scheme can extract arid transmit the coiitiH and status messages between numerical control machine and manufacmri I workstation. This method, which has good feasibility, decreases the risk changing machine and it also makes preparations for improve the DN( communication system aftertime. To realize the communication between cell controller and rnanufacturi workstation, network technique is adopted. It takes advantage of the net\\ ii and uses Winsock to program the network software. Through high reliabil service provided by TCP protocol, it realizes transmission of NC proiaIii. Through high efficient service provided by UDP protocol, it realizes iiw interactive conversation. So the transport efficiency and accuracy are boiL advanced. Through development of correlative serial port communication sotb nv.NC programs transmission betWeen manufactunng workstation and numericalcontrol machine is realized. By setting cornInUncation parameter, this softwa1-ecan adaPt to vedant numerical cOfltrol machines. This way is simp1e al3dconvenient, flexible and transplantable, and it needs less investment.This DNC comn1Llnication system elementary realizes the communicatio11and control betWeen ce1l controller and manufacturing workstatio11 al1dnumerical contrOl machine.
