In 1994,professor Dr. Wang Caigui of Taichung Teachers College launched a children's classics reading project in Taiwan.Then under the impetus of relevant scholars,the project spread rapidly home and abroad ,but a controversy is also triggered related to its rationality.In this paper,first different viewpoints of both sides are analyzed according to related education and other science theories to justify it,and identify noteworthy problems and researchable issues as well. Then From a development of curriculum resources perspective, contents, values and characteristics of major classics are analyzed and preliminary learning suggestions are made.Finally,a set of current typical Chinese textbooks in primary and secondary schools are evaluated to find out problems and demonstrate the necessity of curriculum reform .Then, an innovative,operational and rationalized proposals of the sequence and methods of Chinese classics teaching are put forward according to last chapter's results to make a theoretical contribution to the improvements of primary and junior high schools'Chinese teaching .
