Behavioral science research tells:different mentality always brings about different attitudes, behaviors, and manners, then course the different consequences. American psychologist, Abraham H. Maslow (1908---1970) said that the change of one's mentality courses the change of his attitude, then followed by the change of his personality, his habits and his life.Learning mentality is a complex psychology system related to learning activity. Modern teaching theory tells:there are two principle lines between teaching and learning, one is the line of knowledge convection, the other is the line of sentiment convection. Teaching and learning activities are achieved just by the mutual effect of these two lines. Successful teaching is always accompanied by students' optimum mentality because only with an optimum mentality, students'potential intelligence can be given full play. So, learning mentality is the most stable, basic and intrinsic factor to restrict the learning behavior and its result. However, because of the defects and the side effect existing in our nowadays educational system, there are so much evident universal and individual faultiness in students' learning mentality meanwhile these problems haven't been paid enough attention by general schools which are lack of extracurricular tactics or effective measures as well.Junior middle school students stay in the most important period of their physically and mentally development. Of course, it's also the most crucial moment to establish, strengthen and develop their world outlook including their learning psychology. Account of students' learning, studies and their long-range development, this period just should be looked on as the optimum moment to intervene their learning mentality. Just for this reason, it's an urgent mission for schools to take up to promote the establishment and development of students' positive learning mentality.Establishment and development of students'learning mentality depends on not only their cognition about learning itself, but also the actually feelings from their personal learning experience even more. So, schools should pay much more attention to the improvement of educational process in order to provide students proper active emotional experiences. That's why this research must be carried on in view of the sense of practice. According to the systematic subtle analysis on the related theories of educational management and psychology, as well as the actually educational practice in junior middle schools, this research tries to sum up the key traits and the typical faultiness in learning mentality of the students so that the school educational intervening activities can be more extracurricular. After that, in accordance with setting up favorable teaching and learning circumstances, this research tries to set up a basic frame of tactics which is helpful to promote students establishing and development their learning mentality by systematic investigation and study.
