Objective: This paper summarizes the research results of cooperation learning, cooperative learning in physical education, personality, social support and coping style by documents and puts out its research hypothesis explored by experiment with teaching methods according to research shortcomings of the current study. To probe the effects of cooperative learning in physical education on male college students'social support and coping style of different personality trait.Methods: To intervene in experimental subjects for 12 weeks by cooperative learning teaching mode while contrast subjects to be intervened by conventional teaching mode, adopting inventories of EPQ-RSC, SSRS, PSSRS, CSQ to measure the personality trait, social support and coping style of subjects among experimental and contrast group before, during, post-experiment, then analyzing the experimental results.Results: In the personality, the short-term exercise intervention did not show a significant change in personality trait, but the cooperative learning had a better impact on the specific dimensions of EPQ-P, EPQ-E. In the social support, cooperative learning has obvious advantages than conventional teaching and shows a significant change in the acception of social support and the provision of social support. In the coping style, the short-term exercise intervention also did not show a significant change in types of coping, but may affect the specific dimensions. In different types of temperament, there is a prodigious difference among sanguineous temperament, choleric temperament, phlegmatic temperament and melancholic temperament on male college students'social support and coping style.Conclusion: The cooperative learning has little effect on male college students'personality and coping style, but has some effect on the improvement of male college students'social support system. It is proved that cooperative learning can be seen as a developmental, preventive intervention on replying college students'pressure. Meanwhile it is suggested that we should pay attention to social support and coping style of college students with different types of temperament, and take appropriate intervention measures.
