Effects And Intervention Research For Trait Anxiety、Coping Style And Social Support On Procrastination Of Grade Two Students In Junior High School | | Posted on:2022-05-29 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y T Zhao | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2507306722970299 | Subject:Master of Education | | Abstract/Summary: | | | At present,the procrastination of junior high school students is widely concerned by psychologists and scholars.Previous studies had shown that the procrastination of Junior Grade Two students(here it represents Grade Eight students in nine-year compulsory education)is more serious than that of other junior high school students,but no intervention measures and discussions on the impact of procrastination related to variables have been proposed.In order to further study the procrastination of Grade Two students,after sorting out the relevant literature of the previous researches,noting that both internal and external factors affect procrastination.Internal factors includes cognitive factors,emotional factors,coping styles and personality traits.External factors mainly refer to parental rearing style,social support,environmental factors and the nature of the task itself.Trait anxiety and coping style belong to the internal factors of individuals.Social support as an external factor discusses the impact on procrastination.This study is mainly divided into two parts: Study one uses questionnaire method to take trait anxiety as the independent variable,procrastination as the dependent variable,coping style as the intermediary variable and social support as the adjusting variable.Taking Junior Grade Two students as the research subject,this study this study analyzes the relationship between trait anxiety,coping style,social support and procrastination.An anonymous questionnaire survey collected a total of 468 questionnaires from junior high schools in Harbin and Baoding,of which 440 were valid,with an effective response rate of94.02%.The questionnaire was consisted of four subscales,namely the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI),General Procrastination Scale-for student populations(GPS),Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ)and Social Support Rate Scale(SSRS).After data collection,SPSS.23 was used for data analysis and sorting.Reliability analysis,descriptive statistics,variance testing,correlation analysis,and mediation effect model test of regulation were carried out respectively.In Study two,40 students with procrastination in Study one were divided into experimental group and control group.The half for each group experimental group did psychological counseling group intervention for eight times to get social support and coping style,without the intervention of control group comparing and analyzing the pre-test and post-test groups,studying the effect of group counseling intervention on procrastination in Grade Two of junior middle school.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The trait anxiety of Grade Two students has a significant correlation with procrastination,coping style and social support.Trait anxiety has a positive predictive effect on negative coping and procrastination,and a negative predictive effect on positive coping and social support;(2)Coping style has a significant correlation with procrastination and social support,in which positive coping can positively predict social support,negative coping can negatively predict procrastination,negative coping can negatively predict social support,and positive coping can positively predict procrastination;(3)Social support has a negative predictive effect on procrastination;(4)There is a positive correlation between trait anxiety and procrastination,in which coping style plays a mediating role,and social support plays an important role in coping style multiply procrastination and trait anxiety,which multiply procrastination.There is a moderating effect of procrastination;(5)Social support and positive coping of psychological counseling group were improved and negative coping was decreased.The improvement effect of procrastination in the experimental group was obvious.But there was no intervention in the control group,and the procrastination did not change.This research enriches the related study on trait anxiety,coping styles,social support and procrastination of the second grade students,discusses the mediating effect of mediation,and provides theoretical support and practical reference for psychological counseling group intervention to promote the improvement of the Grade-Two-students procrastination. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Grade Two Students, Trait Anxiety, Coping Style, Social Support, Procrastination, Group Intervention | | Related items |
