Objective:The learning burnout can not only reduce individual learning efficiency,but also cause anxiety,depression and other psychological problems,which has become as the focus of the education community.Most previous studies have only investigated the relationship social support,coping style and learning burnout of middle school students,vocational college students and college students.To the best our knowledge,few studies have focused on the group of sports college entrance examinees.Thus,this study adopts questionnaire survey to explore the basic characteristics and relationship between social support,coping style and learning burnout of P.E major students in Jiangsu province.According on this study,the mediating model of the relationship between social support and learning burnout of P.E major students will be discussed,which will can provide research basis for the management of learning burnout of such particular group.Methods:The self-compiled demographic questionnaire,social support comprehension scale,coping style scale for middle school students,and learning burnout scale for teenagers were used to conduct a questionnaire survey on 1110 PE examinees(conveniently selected from Jiangsu Province in 2021).A total of 1110 sets of questionnaires were distributed,and 973 sets of effective questionnaires were collected.SPSS20.0 and MPLUS software were used for statistical analysis of the obtained data.Results:(1)The scores of social supports,positive and negative coping styles and learning burnout were all at the average level of the scale;(2)The scores of friend support of P.E major students living in ingle-parent family cohabit are significantly lower than those coming from the three generations,three-member family and four generations cohabit.The scores of other supports of P.E major students from the three generations were significantly higher than those from ingle-parent family,nuclear family and four generations cohabit.Besides,in terms of coping style,the score of positive coping style of female P.E major students in the dimension of "positive rationalization" was significantly higher than male students,and the score of problem-solving dimensions for P.E major students was lower than that for non-P.E major students.In addition,the negative coping style score of P.E major students is significantly higher than that of non-P.E major students and the scores of negative coping styles of P.E major students from nuclear family are higher than those born in the single parent,three generations and four generations under the same family.The scores of avoidance dimensions of students with a single parent are significantly lower than those of students coming from nuclear family,three generations and four generations under the same family.The scores of P.E major students from nuclear family were significantly higher than those in a single family,three generations.In terms of the fantasy denial dimension of negative coping style,the scores of P.E major students from nuclear family were significantly higher than those in single parent family,a family of the three or four generations cohabit.(3)Regression analysis displayed the variation in learning burnout of P.E major students accounted for 24.2%according to analysis of the social support.However,the variation in learning burnout of P.E major students accounted for 17.4%and 17.6%by analysis of positive and negative coping styles,respectively.(4)Social support has a direct effect on the learning burnout of P.E major students,and also indirectly affects the learning burnout level through the mediation variable of coping style.Conclusion:(1)The social support,coping style and learning burnout of P.E major students are at medium level;(2)The friends support level of P.E major students living in the single-parent family is lower than that from three generations cohabit,nuclear and four generations cohabit family;The other support level of P.E major students from three generations is higher than that of the nuclear family,single-parent family and four generations cohabit family.The positive rationalization level of female P.E major students is higher than that of male students.Problem-solving ability of P.E major students is lower than that of non-P.E major students.The level of negative coping style of P.E major students is higher than that of non-P.E major students and the level of negative coping style of P.E major students living in three generations is higher than that of that from the single-parent family,three and four generations cohabit family.In addition,the level of escape of P.E major students coming from the single-parent family is lower than that of three and four generations cohabit family.The fantasy denial level of P.E major students in a family of three generations cohabit is higher than those from single-parent family,three and four generations cohabit family.The "academic alienation" level of rural P.E major students is higher than that of urban students.(3)P.E major students with highly social support,the positive and negative coping style displayed a lower learning burnout level.Social support could not only reduce the learning burnout level of P.E.students but also indirectly alleviate the learning burnout level of P.E major students through influencing their coping style.
