What And How To Teach: The Exploration On The Teaching Of The Classical Poems In Senior School

The classical poems are the most valuable treasure among Chinese literature. The reading of the classical poems is of special significance in reading teaching of literatures in senior school. However, there are still some problems remained such as the ambiguity in teaching goal, the improper teaching contents, the unsuitable teaching methods, which are caused by the poor mastery of the course goal, of the system of teaching material, of the features of the selected texts and of students' learning conditions. These problems undermine the effectiveness of reading teaching on classical poems and the completion of the Chinese course goal. The thesis penetrates external phenomenon concerning these problems and discusses the solution to such problems. It believes that the joint-point should be found to make the systematical targets of reading in classical poems in senior school, which should take full consideration of the course goal, the system of teaching contents, the characters of teaching texts and the students' learning conditions. In selecting the teaching material, firstly, it should focus on language and after full understanding of the features of poem text, their commonness and characteristics of the individual poem are required to be combined in teaching practice. In addition, we should integrate the course sources to adjust the teaching material. As for the teaching method, many ways are introduced including loud-reading and recitation, return to original conditions, comparison and extension. These methods combine the intuition and reasoning, which together will overcome the problems in appreciation of the classical poem in which you can only feel but can not express. The students will obtain their own aesthetic experience and develop their own reading ability to appreciate the classical poems.
