Classical poems share a large proportion in Chinese textbooks of high school,and the importance of poetry appreciation has been highlighted in the college entrance examination.Image is an artistic image that poets used to express their feelings in classical poems.Those common images have a wide range of relationships with the Chinese nation's historical and cultural traditions,customs,lifestyle and psychological characteristics,and they have been given a particular emotional color in the context of history.The ancient poets have expressed their relatively stable thoughts and feelings through these images.The image "phoenix tree" appears in the classical poetry with high frequency.In the view of high frequency of the image "phoenix tree" in classical poetry,using the "phoenix tree" as a breakthrough point to analyze the "image" of classical poetry has a significant demonstration.This paper has three chapters.In Chapter one,the paper analyzes the meaning of"phoenix tree" by using literature review and summary method to collect classical poetries with the image "phoenix tree" of various dynasties extensively.It classifies the six meaningful images of "phoenix tree" by using the journals and papers which studying the image "phoenix tree" in the classical literatures as the basis.By analyzing the symbolic meaning of the "phoenix tree" in the works of poetry in different times,Chapter two analyzes and summarizes the flow of the implicit cultural implication of "phoenix tree",and classifies the fixed symbolic meaning of "phoenix tree" and the flow reason of its implied cultural implication.The third chapter links the image of "phoenix tree" with the appreciation of classical Chinese poetry in high school,and collects the teaching materials and excellent teaching cases of classical poetry teaching extensively.Taking the image of "phoenix tree" as an example to analyze and appreciate the representative poems through case study,to guide students to learn the methods of appreciating poems from typical image.This paper aims at making students understand the meaning of the images in the teaching of language and literature of high school,accumulate extensively,and improve accomplishment of culture to grasp the beauty of poetry more accurately.Therefore,students' aesthetic ability of poetry appreciation can be improved effectively.
